In 1998 the MDC leased the 12-acre parcel to Quarry Hills Associates for fifty years with the requirement that QHA construct four baseball fields and one soccer field for public use by the end of 2002. |

Between 1998 and 2001 QHA covered the parcel with a sheet cake of contaminated Big Dig excavate up to 30 feet high. No work has occurred since. |

On January 3rd and 24th of this year, the Quincy Patriot-Ledger quoted a claim by Quarry Hills Associates that the four baseball fields and one soccer field were "expected to be ready for play this spring." |
