MY
CLIENT RESPECTFULLY REQUESTS
A NICE BIG CHUNK OF THE BLUE HILLS RESERVATION
The letter reproduced at left is from
real estate lawyer Jeffrey
Mullan, a partner at Boston mega-firm Foley
Hoag, asking MDC attorney Thomas Gray for a meeting regarding a
"proposed land acquisition." (text version)
The letter indicates that Mullan or Lantana
owner Hart had already broached the subject with local rep Walter
Timilty (D-Milton/Randolph), and that Timilty had agreed to pursue
it.
Curiously, the draft
legislation attached to the letter makes no mention of an exchange
of land, but simply authorizes a conveyance. At this time Hart did not
yet own the remote inholding.
