On
March 10, approximately two weeks after Big Dig sediments invaded
the 2-acre vernal pool north of the Sawcut Notch path in the Blue
Hills Reservation, Michele Cobban-Barden, Water Quality Director for
the Neponset River Watershed Assn.,
took water samples for testing at the pool and at a nearby unimpacted
pool on the north slope of Rattlesnake Hill. Following are the test
results, originating at the lab of the Charles River Watershed Assn.
