On May 3rd a ground fire burned a half mile of the Skyline Trail in the Blue Hills Reservation in Quincy, from Nahanton Hill west to Chickatawbut Hill. Heavy smoke forced the closure of Chickatawbut Road and was visible for miles. These photos were taken on Nahanton Hill on June 10th, 38 days later.
Here's the east edge of the burn, where the trail ascends Nahanton Hill after passing Blue Hills Reservoir.
