Krysten Mills, Life's Simple Pleasures; Puddle, Rock, and String

My five-year-old nephew playing in a puddle.  I took my nephew for a hike after theater camp across the way at Thacher Montessori School. He took his pet 'string' along to enjoy the view. When we reached the rock outcrop and he saw the puddle, he instantly was drawn to it. He was so involved, mesmerized, and content, moving the pebbles around through the puddle (I can only assume that the string enjoyed it also!) He explored the top of the hill, looking at pine cones, birds and the great view of Boston from the tower. I only wish I had a picture of the string by the end of the hike...stuck to the velcro of his shoes, covered in brambles!
