MWRA Middlesex Fells Covered Storage Project

Here is the buried 3-acre water tank that the MWRA recently built in the Middlesex Fells Reservation on the Malden/Stoneham line.

The concrete blocks were emplaced via crane this winter, reportedly to give the hatches additional security.

The tank is 1/3 as large as the area proposed to be filled for a similar project in the Blue Hills Reservoir
